Stainless Steel Burners

The new generation of Weber Genesis gas grills features stainless steel burners that run from front to back of the grill, with the burner controls in the front of the grill. This is a more convenient configuration than the previous design with the controls on the right side of the table and the burners running parallel to the front of the grill.

The efficient design and construction of the firebox allows it to hold heat better. For faster heating and searing temperature levels, the Genesis S-340 comes with a searing station. This is an extra 10,000 BTU burner on the left side of the grill. You can crank up the heat to sear steaks, chicken, and other foods.

Flavorizer Bars

One of the unique features of the Genesis series is the Flavorizer bar system. In the Genesis S-340, the Flavorizer bars are made of stainless-steel. The bars are set at an angle to catch drippings which are vaporized to add flavor to the grilled foods. Excess drippings flow down into the grease trap and away from the burner tubes, thus helping prevent flare-ups and protecting the burners from becoming clogged.

Quick and Efficient Heating

The grill’s cookbox is designed for efficient heating. It is made of durable cast aluminum and can withstand extremely high temperatures. The shape of the cookbox and shroud allows heat to circulate evenly around the food. The three burners can be used individually or in combination to provide direct or indirect heat. The shroud is made of stainless steel and comes with a center-mounted thermometer. Because of its efficient design, the grill does not use up a lot of fuel, thus helping you save money.

The Genesis S-340 has 507 square inches primary cooking space and a 130-square-inch warming rack.

Other Features

The grill comes with an enclosed cart. The sides and doors are made of painted steel while the handles are stainless steel. The S-330 also comes with stainless steel work surfaces and six tool hooks. The cart is equipped with two front locking casters and two back swivel casters.

What Customers Say

Customers absolutely love the Weber Genesis S-340. They say it is one of the best grills around and worth the price. It is built of durable stainless steel and cast aluminum and will last for at least 10 years with proper care.

For many customers, one of the best features of the Genesis S-340 is the sear burner. It helps heat up the grill much faster and provides high temperatures suitable for searing. A lot of customers also noted that the amount of heat is very easy to control. They can easily cook using direct or indirect heat.

Although the shroud, cookbox, burners, cooking grates and other internal parts are top quality, one or two customers noted that the cabinet sides and back are made of ordinary painted metal – not stainless steel. These parts can rust if the grill is left out in the rain.

Overall, customers say the Weber Genesis S-340 is a great grill that they would recommend to anyone.
